OUR WORK
We develop and translate evidence
Thematic reports
Focus on Women’s Health
Although women’s health is now an established health field with significant funding, it does not consider the intersection with disabilities. Women with disabilities are particularly vulnerable to not receiving quality care, which is why we are currently focusing on this topic.
Upcoming report on the health of women with disabilities (publication in first half of 2025) will aim to:
Synthesize the specific and additional healthcare needs of women with disabilities
Raise awareness of the gaps that exist in terms of health access and outcomes to mobilize key stakeholders to take action
Highlight the voices of women’s and women-led OPD through storytelling
Activate players in the gender equity movement to incorporate disability into their agendas
Analysis of a cervical cancer care pathways for women with disabilities
Infographic on the health of women with disabilities
Good practice compendium
Around the world, many stakeholders already work on building disability-inclusive health systems. To learn from each others work, and to inspire others to act, we collect and share examples of good practices in inclusive health.
Academic publications
Our team regularly publishes articles and studies in academic journals.
Data dashboard
For the Missing Billion report #2, we created an interactive dashboard to make our analysis widely available.
The dashboard includes data on mortality for people with disabilities, and key health indicators of Childhood Illness, Sexual and Reproductive Health, HIV, Malaria, and more.
We advocate through evidence
Co-host and attend events
To deliver the evidence we develop, we bring the topic of disability at key global conferences and events. Some events we’ve hosted in the past:
Empower disability champions to attend events
Together with partners, we facilitate the participation of leaders with disabilities to share their stories and expertise on inclusive health at global events.
Reach out to us if you are a disability advocate or social impact leader working in health, and you would like to work together on advocacy.
Disseminate knowledge
We also use digital channels to amplify the reach of our evidence (social media, our newsletter, our blog…)
